Few bands are as technically savvy as Booty and their song "Voodoo" is an excellent representation of their techno-dance sound. Lead singer Kristy Awald is like Garbage's Shirley Manson in the sense that casual observers of the band might make the mistake of dismissing her contribution to the group. Like Manson, Awald is an intelligent, witty singer who is much more than eye candy. The rest of the band, including Matt Sommers and Rich Barker, keep the group's riffs and rhythms on time while Awald holds down the fort vocally. What are their songs about? Beats me, but they're great for dancing - and listening.
