BOOTY kicks ass!
(BOOTY Explores the Seedy Side of Life)

Well, here it is. The newest release from our good ol' friends THE MAGICAL ATTRACTION OF BOOTY, Seedy Sessions.

With only four songs on the CD, "Low," "Hurricane," "Something Missing," and "Voodoo," I was only given fifteen minutes to find something bad to say. But I guess my time is up, 'cause I looked and I looked, but there was nothing there but good, well-polished "techno-noise."

The lyrics here are often hard to decipher, but provide a good groove nonetheless. A song will seem to paint a vivid picture in one moment, but at the turn of the next sentence I become lost and confused.

"Low, I'm gravity's angel
Keeping the voices....
Keeping the needle buried in the red to keep it low"

Huh? Say what? Well, I guess the good stuff doesn't always have to make sense. The power is still there, the music is still there, and the spellbinding vocals are all still there. It's just hard to imagine where the band's next album will take them.

And maybe, just maybe, the next CD will have that one hit song that'll put their money where my mouth is. These guys haven't reached their full potential quite yet, but they definitely get one step closer every time, and I don't see them slowing down anytime soon.

A little more variety among their music and vocals and I think they just might have it. Good things come to those who wait -- and I'm definitely one of those fans waiting for more from THE MAGICAL ATTRACTION OF BOOTY.
