Gimme dat Booty!

The new remix of The Magical Attraction of Booty's Minneapolis "Seedy
Sessions" are an exponential leap forward in sound production and most
importantly musicanship. It sounds great and the band has certainly
matured from when I first heard them and the first CD!  Each cut is much
more spacious and the instrumentals are distinctly "forward firing"
emitting a modern edge wall of sound. On the first track "Low," the
paradoxialI (word in question) mix of the sweet vocals in contrast to
the sinking deep bass groove envelops the listner and certainly causes
one's synapses to crackle while hoping for there own booty! Wheeeee! The
second song Hurricane steps up the tempo and focuses on Christy's (I
think thats what she goes by) vocals and (I being from an age gone by in
this sub-pop-dude-techno-smear world) had visions of a young Debbie
Harry in a too tight teddy. Hmmmmmmmmm. I digress. Christy sounds great.
The third song....I can't remember cause I be thinkin bout Debbie
Harry........The guitar, bass and drums are all clearly distinct, yet
retain a rough edge sound which is what I think may be best bout the
Booty. It seems to be your signature........distinct yet melded. Hmmmmm.
The fourth song is really frickin good. Voodoo. Yes Voodoo me. There's
no reason why we should'nt be hearing this on the radio in the near
future. Surbanite moms will be singing the lyrics right after they've
finished "under the sea" for the six thousandth time..........sorry.
This song is great. I think the whole CD (not that I want to catagorize
it, nor do you want to be categorized but categorizing is my bag baby)
is like a modern "Garbage meets the B-52s."(that's a compliment). So,
Ive rambled enough here. Good luck.
