Techno meets alternative in a bright indie package. The new Magical Attraction of Booty CD, "Perfect Rocket" highlights the memorable vocals of Kristy Awald. While sometimes sounding a bit like a cross between K's Chioce and Artificial Joy Club, Booty manages to maintian a vibrancy uniquely its own. M. Sommers threads a common beat throughout the CD, with Jason Hendrickson's guitar and Rich Barker's bass polishing and filling out the tracks with finesse. The chaotic intensity of such songs as Perfect Rocket and Hurricane are enough to carry the CD, but nuggets like Up for Sale and Princess will make you come back again and again. In all, Perfect Rocket is a CD I am happy to add to my collection!
